In Spring/Summer, Thin Man will publish Susan de Muth’s translation of Claude Cahun’s ‘Disavowals’ (Aveux non Avenus). Originally published in 2006 by Tate publishing, this edition will feature a new introduction by Amelia Groom and an afterword by François Leperlier.
Later in 2024, Thin Man Press will publish a Claude Cahun reader (in English) of previously untranslated works, edited by Susan de Muth. The volume will include Hannah Freed-Thall’s translation of ‘Views and Visions’ (Vues et Visions), ‘Heroines’, ‘Confessions to the Mirror’ (Confidences au Miroir), ‘All Bets are Off’ (Les Paris sont Ouverts) as well as unpublished clandestine prison correspondence between Cahun and Moore (Suzanne Malherbe), scribbled in pencil on toilet paper during their incarceration on Jersey by the Nazis.
